Thank you for your interest in Misr American College! The team at the M.A.C. Admissions Office wants you to know that we recognize how important it is that you choose the best school for your family. Here you can find answers for some important questions that you might have in mind.

School starts from 07:45am. The morning assembly starts at 08:00am, Classes start from 08:15am – 02:45pm from Nursery to grade 12.

A.C. is fully accredited by (NCA CASI) the NORTH CENTRAL ASSOCIATION COMMISSION on ACCREDITATION and SCHOOL are accredit IMPROVEMENT are accreditation divisions of AdvancED. And the EGYPTIAN MINISTRY of EDUCATION. Students are eligible to apply to Egyptian public universities (within the 5% allowed for foreign diplomas), American Universities or universities of any other country.

M.A.C. adopts the standers of Texas Curriculum for Early Childhood School &  Massachusetts Curriculum for Elementary, Middle and High Schools.

Students start French Language in Grade 4.

We follow the Egyptian Ministry subjects (Arabic, Religion & Arabic Social Studies).

Pre-KElementary School (Grades 1 - 5)Middle School (Grades 6 - 8)
Children applying for Pre-K, KG1, and KG2 are given a one-on-one assessment that focuses on school readiness benchmarks, fine and gross motor skills, language skills, numeracy skills, spatial concepts, and age-appropriate academic standards. The admission assessment and file review will be the final determination of your student’s academic level and readiness for our program, leading to an enrollment decision from the committee. Children must be fully potty trained in order to attend class.
Students applying for Grades 1 and 2 are given as assessment that includes readiness skills, math, reading, a writing assessment, and a short interview. Part of the assessment includes the MAP (Measurement of Academic Progress) assessment, for both mathematics and reading comprehension. An additional assessment to determine your child’s level of English may also be given. Students applying for Grade 3 through 5 will be asked to take the MAP (Measurement of Academic Progress) assessment, for both mathematics and reading comprehension, as well as write an essay and participate in a short interview. An additional assessment to determine your child’s level of English may also be given. The admission assessment and file review will be the final determination of your student’s academic level and readiness for our program, leading to an enrollment decision from the committee. Enrollment in AIS is always contingent upon the student successfully completing the school year (or term) at their current school. Final grades and a Behavior Report must be submitted in order for a student to be officially enrolled.
